Reviews and Ratings
Hemingway's in Watamu was a truly delightful experience for our honeymoon. The hospitality was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to make our stay special, including lovely touches like a complimentary bottle of wine. The food was a highlight, particularly the Sunday curry club, although we wished for a bit more variety. The rooms were well-appointed, especially the deluxe option we upgraded to, but do be aware of the longer travel times to nearby attractions. While our whale watching trip was thrilling, it might be too much for the less experienced at sea. Overall, it was a memorable stay with minor points to consider.
My stay at Hemingway Watamu was full of ups and downs. The hotel has a fantastic beachfront location, and while the rooms are beautifully designed and clean, our experience was marred by some noise issues from neighboring rooms and the presence of a large group during our stay. The staff were lovely, and the dining options were generally good, but certain aspects could use improvement, like the organization of meals and the quiet atmosphere. Overall, it's a lovely hotel, but I would recommend requesting a quieter room on an upper floor.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The breathtaking views and friendly service made for a delightful atmosphere, but the dining could definitely use some improvement. The room's comfort was compromised by an uncomfortable bed and issues with cleanliness during breakfast. Overall, it had its highlights but left much to be desired.
I had a lovely honeymoon stay at the resort, enjoying the beautiful beach views and the warm, welcoming service from the staff. The amenities were fantastic, but I found the meal variety a bit lacking during my visit. Overall, it was a peaceful getaway, although the longer travel times to nearby attractions were a minor inconvenience.
During my recent stay, I found Hemingways to have stunning facilities and a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean, which certainly set high expectations. However, the dining experience was lackluster with limited options, and the service was far from satisfactory. While the rooms are beautiful, the overall experience left me feeling like the establishment had more work to do in terms of service standards.
